A lot of people go through this very thing in their day to day life. For writers, it seems to be a little tougher. When constructing an article or a tasting, I am always trying to capture the reader’s attention and want them to get the same experience I did when writing. Too many of us (including myself) focus so much on what we would like to say, that at times we end up not saying anything at all. Or in this case, writing nothing.
A good friend gave me a suggestion the other night that I should just sit down, start letting it flow, and quit worrying about creating the "Perfect Post". Does that really exist anyway? I am sure in some minds it does, but to be honest with you, I think it is more mythical than Loch Ness, or Bigfoot. Now I know people believe in those things and good for you! I love Harry and the Henderson’s, but I really don't think that if there is a bigfoot, that he will be gentle and come live in my house, just sayin'.
If you have made it this far in my post you might be asking yourself "How does any of this pertain to wine?” well to be honest...I am not sure. But you know what? I know that this means I will have more to say on my blog, and my portion of the site, due to the fact that I am no longer looking for the right words. I just need to get the information out to my readers, because they are the ones who will benefit from it anyway. With all of the distractions that our day offers us (Work, Kids, Home, Twitter, Facebook, email, etc...) it is good to know that you have people in your life that you can just be you....and not have to search for the words.
