End of Summer Cocktail: Front Porch Tipsy Tea

I adapted this recipe after a similar cocktail I had at the Tipsy Pig in San Francisco. If you have a chance to visit San Francisco, I highly recommend checking out the The Tipsy Pig on Chestnut Street. They have great cocktails and a gastropub menu that stands on it's own (try the pulled pork sliders w/micro greens).

I have been mixing up a batch of the tea mix and keeping it in the fridge for mixing cocktails or for just a simple glass of iced tea kicked up. It is perfect in the late afternoon when I hang out on my front porch and enjoy these last days of summer.

Tea Mix:

  • 1 cup home brewed tea (my current fave is Duchess Grey from Trader Joe's)
  • 1 cup lemonade
  • 1 cup apricot juice/nectar

The Tipsy part:

  • 1 cup Good quality vodka (sweet tea vodka is nice too!)
  • Pour tea over tall glasses with ice about 3/4 quarters full.
  • Stir in 1-2 shots vodka into each glass.
  • Garnish with mint.
